If you don't need to fill out this form for course credit, I'd still appreciate a thoughtful response. I'm very interested in your comments at the end about what this questionnaire examines and about how the questions are phrased and ordered.
To prosper as a professional in the modern networked organization, you have to do more than type email and surf the Web. You must know how to use a dozen and a half categories of software. Since most software is bloated with features, "how to use" is a relative term.
Also, knowing how to word process, for instance, doesn't mean I can write a book you'd want to read any more than knowing how to saw and hammer means I can make a house you'd want to live in. So pretend this is a job interview. On your first day of work, we want to know what to put on your desktop computer and what training to schedule you for.
The categories overlap.
The ratings are more suggestive than precise.
